• To new friends who came for the first time, to good friends who returned and to our local dancers, thank you all for making this such a great weekend.
• To the hosts who offered their spare rooms and floor boards.
• To all our bands, musicians and DJs for the great music.
• To the chefs and bakers who fed us.
• To the water carries who filled jug after jug.
• To the early birds who set up, to the night owls who cleared up.
• To the walking guides who showed us the sites and navigated us between venues.
• To all the members of the committee and all the helpers, you really are the Dream Team.

We are down to just days until this year’s event. The countdown clock is ticking, the excitement is building and we can’t wait to welcome you all to ELX 2011. We have a bumper exchange in store for you including some amazing bands, activities and venues.

The Edinburgh Tram works have started up again and Princes Street is closed to traffic. This means that all buses will be diverted, most going along George Street. See Lothian Buses for details.

The hosting notifications have been sent out, thanks to all our local dancers who have volunteered to host, enabling us to accommodate so many visitors. Guests please make sure to get in touch with your host, if you have not already done so, to confirm arrival and any special requirements i.e.: sleeping bags etc. Hosting is for Friday and Saturday nights, unless prearranged with your host. Also, please ensure that you exchange contact details. If you are expecting to be hosted and have not been notified of you host, please get in touch with us as soon as possible.

Hey there Lindy Hoppers. ELX is nearly here, and we can’t wait to welcome you to this year’s knockout extravaganza. The team are busy putting the finishing touches together for what promises to be our best event yet and we have an unbelievable line up in store for you. Check out the events page for an taste of what you have to look forward to.

We have now opened up a limited number of saturday night only passes for those who can’t make it to the whole weekend. These are just £15. If you would like to attend these should be bought in advance of the event through our booking form.

Note: To be fair to follows currently on the waiting list we are will be limiting follow bookings of saturday night tickets as well. If you are adding yourself to the waiting list for the full weekend just let us know on your booking form if you wish to be on the waiting list for saturday night only, if a full pass is not available.

Avoid disappointment and make sure you get your 2011 ELX t-shirt. Order with your booking or contact us to added one to an existing one.

The event list for this year has been finalized and the finishing touches are being made. So if you haven’t booked yet, do it now. See you in September.

Make sure you get your order in for this year’s ELX t-shirt. Last orders will be taken on the 31st July. So make sure we have your order by then.
